I found this sweater to be a little more itchy on my skin. May be that’s just me. So, I unfortunately had to return this item. The color was lovely though. Return was easy.This sweater fits a little larger than I thought. I ordered and XL and could have done with a large. It does hang a little higher on me than in the picture, but I am on the tall side. The arm length is good (and I have long arms) I don't mind it being a little big, though, just means I can wear a heavier weight turtle neck underneath. The only other thing is that the left side collar turns up a bit due to where the button is located. I think I can move the button, though.The sweater is quite warm and the different cable patterns are truly outstanding. The sweater has different patterns all over -- neither arm matches and the back has a couple different patterns as well. If you are a stickler for one pattern then you will not like this sweater. I think it is an absolutely beautiful representation of the beautiful stitches you would find in an Irish wool sweater.The company also threw in a free pen, which was a nice surprise. WIth the other sweater I ordered at the same time, I had marked it as a 'gift'. A nice gift bag was sent along with the order. The bag is very nice quality as well!Can't go wrong!This is a Dry Clean only item, so don't shove it in the washer or dryer.The sweater arrived fairly quickly considering it does come from Ireland and needed to go through customsIt looked great but to small for my wife. Return was easy.Wife loves it!All men know what a risk it is buying garments for the wife,-If it's too small, "Now you'll think I'm fat!"-Too big, "You must think I'm fat!"-Too conservative, "You think I'm old!"-Too nouvelle, "It willl make me look like a ____" A) teenie- bopper B) call girl C) slut D) All of the above (AKA: Your Ex-wife)Generally I never buy her clothing for these reasons. I loved the look, and went out on that limb anyway!Well, let me tell you, this was a home run! She loved the softness, the color, the style. Not one complaint!(Except now she doesn't want to take it off! )This is a high quality, beautiful sweater. The wool is lush and warm; the pattern on the body of the sweater is different and the overall design is very attractive. This will be a favorite for years to come. I like that it is not a standard over-the-head crew or V neck sweater but a cardigan/jacket-type. Looks great with a turtleneck underneath, which is appropriate since this is for really cold days. Like today - Christmas in NY is brutal right now and I will wear it A LOT during this season.Buy this for yourself or someone you love.Regarding the fit: I am 5'2", 110 lbs. and the Small fits. Not a fitted style but it looks just right on me. Falls at the waist or a little below.I love that it is made in Ireland. The color is terrific and people can tell it is hand knitted by an expert. My only complaint is that the arm hole at the shoulder is a tiny bit smaller than I'd prefer. I got it to stretch and it fits okay - excellent fit everywhere else. Mine is an XL and I wear a size 18 in women's tops.I washed it in a front load washer on cold with a wool setting and it held up perfectly. Yay!I purchased this as a small for a slender friend, size 4-6. I am generally a size 8-10, but find this small actually fit me quite comfortably. I have not yet given it to my friend but hour she will not find it too large. Otherwise it is a beautiful soft, warm sweater and the color is vibrant. Would but another without hesitation.It’s a very comfortable sweater and very warm, I enjoy wearing, uts perfect for this cold weather.
