I presented this to my mom. I selected a size medium for her as that is her usual size (they didnt have my size offered at the time). She knew nothing of the details of the sweater, and her response was one of delight. She immediately thought it was of high quality, she was impressed with the details- she pointed out the stipe/ribbing and how the change in direction takes some skill to keep it in the pattern. Buttons are secure. The material is warm. The sweater has a bit of weight to it- dense. The fit is appropriate. Clearly a relaxed fit. She said it isn't like wearing a larger size where it would look big and bulky, it is simply just cut to provide a more loose/relaxed fit. She intends to wear it with leggings or skinny jeans. When I told her the price, she was not at all surprised; she said that is what she would expect. Then I let her know it has wool & alpaca in it, and that reinforced her positive impression.I concur with all she said, and would have said as such from my perspective but since she had zero information about it, it was nice to have a true first impression opinion to relay in this review. The material is soft, smooth and has a good sturdy yet comfy look. We have this in the camel color, and the buttons are a coordinating tortoiseshell.38% Viscose, 35% Nylon, 22% Wool, 5% AlpacaHand Wash Cold, Dry FlatHere are the measurements, measured flat for the size MEDIUM:width, measured from armpit to armpit is 23" (so 46" around)width, measured from one side to the other at low hem line is 21" around (so 42" around)length, from high shoulder to bottom hem is 28.25"width, shoulder to shoulder is 23" (so 46" around)Sleeve length: 21.25" (measured from shoulder hem to arm/wrist hem)length from neck to shoulder hem: 8.5"So the relaxed portion is in the shoulder armpit area, then ever so slightly narrows at bottom hem. It's just a little darker but still lovely. The Autumn Essential cardigan sweater is a nice looking, versatile sweater which will be a good addition to your wardrobe. This sweater has the look and feel of a high-quality sweater. It is a blend of 38% viscose, 35% nylon, 22% wool and 5% alpaca. It can be worn for a wide variety of occasions – good for work, school, shopping and most other casual activities. This is a beautiful and warm well made sweater! Its soft and cozy and perfect for chilly nights! It's oversized a bit to be loungy but still flattering. It would look great with joggers or jeans. Could look nice for going out but it's so comfy for staying in and wearing around the house too. I love the buttons and this is just a really awesome sweater! This is a cute, comfy cardigan. The material is a heavier weight and it feels nice on. It's advertised as a wool/alpaca sweater, which I love, but it's really mostly viscose and nylon. The wool content is pretty low and the alpaca is just 5%. You can feel the warmth from the wool content and it's not itchy, so I guess this is a good blend. It has a comfortable, oversized fit and the sleeves are dropped and slouchy. I sized up because I like oversized cardigans, but that wasn't necessary, it was designed to already be oversized in your normal size. I'm 5'9, 165lbs, 36dd, normally a medium, but I ordered a large. It is pretty wide so it doesn't look good buttoned up, but I like it unbuttoned over a shirt. I'm also thinking that if I had ordered my normal size, it would not have been long enough for leggings, it just covers my rear in the large, so I'm happy with the large. If you're in between sizes, you can definitely choose the smaller size. The sleeves are nice and long on me, which may be a problem for you if you have average length arms because the cuffs are loose and open, there's no band to keep them on your wrists or to pull them up. Even though I never plan to wear this buttoned up, I should mention that the button holes are too tight and you have to really stretch and wiggle the buttons out of them. Just from doing this once, the holes look all stretched out of shape and it bothers me. Even with all of my nit-picking, I really like this sweater. It looks and feels high quality and I like wearing it.It runs super big. I would not have ordered it if I knew it could fit men's size Large. I am usually wearing size 6, I have ordered a size medium for a nice oversized feel. However, the sweat sleeves and feel were just way too overwhelming. The fabric is acrylic. Since it was super large on me, I never wore it outside. I gave it to my grandfather. Somehow it appeared as a male design sweater rather than a woman.I wanted to like it, but unfortunately, it had not met my style expectations. I like the idea, I wish the production company would have invested more in the quality of the product and adjust the sizing proportions. This is a cozy sweater. It is a bit boxy, but cute. Very warm.
